Over to Craig for the date and details of the clubs annual trip to Weston-Super-Mare.
We are planning our annual trip to Weston for Saturday 24 June. If the weather is forecast to be foul on that day we’ll probably hold Saturday 1 July in reserve, just in case.
Those who regularly go know that it is a great day out, with much laughter. The run is pretty tough but we have regular stops for photos and drinks. Even I completed it last year with limited training. If you haven’t been before give it a go.

Provisional schedule:
Leave Birmingham/Solihull at 8am. We arrange car shares nearer the time.
Stop for tea/coffee/cake at a café about 5 miles from where the run starts.
Aim to start the run at about 10.30am to 11am. The run covers part of the West Mendip Way and Crook Peak (about 10 miles out of Weston). The run lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours with plenty of stops. Distance wise it’s probably about 8 miles. It is hilly and from Crook Peak affords fabulous views over the Bristol Channel.
Travel into Weston for a picnic on the beach.
If the weather is good we'll have a game of rounders. It can become quite competitive!
Time for a stroll and if you choose a visit to the pier.
Leave about 6pm to 7pm, getting back about 8pm to 9pm.
If you have any questions please speak to Barry or Craig.
If you are interested in running please let me (Craig) know. We’ll firm up numbers nearer the time.
