A special mention for Izabella who, having run in all of this season’s league races, has competed in her eighth and final year in this league. Also, James ran his debut league race for the Club and Scarlet and Josh Murtagh ran their first league race this season. Although Zac finished higher up the field, Dylan’s improved performance saw him significantly closing their time gap. Lola overcame some barging in her race, while Ben finished his on a positive note, having had an unsettled season.

All the young athletes who have represented Sparkhill Harriers in cross-country events in 2017-18 are listed above, along with those athletes who competed at this final league meeting: w and m indicate that the total cross-country appearances include taking part in the Warwickshire and Midland Championships respectively (Alice competed in both).

Thanks again to Rob Mills and Dave Reed for continually supporting the young athletes at each meeting and to parents for encouraging and transporting their youngsters. We look forward to celebrating the effort and achievement of our Club’s young athletes at Sparkhill Harriers’ Awards Evening; look out for confirmation of the date.
