June Schedule '15 Print



Note, for those that turn up at training locations without running from the club please aim to have done a warm up before we arrive.  This won't apply if we have driven from the club because we will all have to warm up.




TUES 2nd

Swanhurst Park - club 7pm or 7.20pm at car park next to fire station if making own way.
3 minutes at 5k pace followed by 5 minutes at 1/2 marathon pace x 5.
Aim is to increase threshold for running fast.

  SAT 6th

 Billesley Common meeting at car park off Yardley Wood Road at 10am


TUES 9th

Chinn Brook - club 7pm or 7.20pm at car park at bottom of Highfield Road if making own way.
Approx 8 x 400m with 200m steady followed by 200m fast continuous
Aim is to get you running quicker than 5k race pace.

SAT 13th

Clent Hills meeting at 10am at Nimmings visitor centre, Hagley Wood Lane off A456.  Nearest postcode for sat nav is B62 0NL.  Note - it is a National Trust car park and there is a charge.  Therefore if you are a National Trust member remember to take your car park pass.

TUES 16th

Moseley Bog - club 7pm or 7.20pm at car park off Windermere Road if making own way.
25 to 30 minutes to whistle - fartlek.  Aim is to get accustomed to running faster over various distances with varying recovery times.

Elmdon Park meeting at car park by St Nicholas church at 10am.  Nearest sat nav is B92 9EJ

  TUES 23rd


Cannon Hill Park - club at 7pm for a lift or 7.20pm at Holders Lane car park at 7.20pm if making own way.
Hill session with quick descent. Aim is to build strength and stamina.


  SAT 27th

  No training - Stratford 6

 TUES 30th

   Palmers Rough woods.

   Meet at club at 7.00pm or 

   at medical centre car park for 7.20pm if travelling direct.

Fun night with juniors.  Meet at the club at 6.45pm. 

 This night has become a tradition lasting approximately an hour with refreshments in the  club house afterwards.  It involves relay races made up of mixed teams of juniors and seniors with lots of fun elements.  Please make the effort to be there because it is a fun  evening and is a change from the rigors of serious training.
