Sparkhill junior selected to run for county Print
Congratulations to our junior Sparkhill Harrier Zac Minchin who has been selected to run for Warwickshire in the annual Inter-Counties Cross Country Championship race to be held this Saturday 12th March at Cofton Park.
Zak's selection is the reward for the hard work he has put in throughout the season, training regularly and culminating in an excellent run in the County X/C Championship last month where he finished fourth.
Good luck on Saturday Zak!
Help needed for CAU Inter Counties XC, Cofton Park, Sat 12th March 2016 Print

From organisers of the Inter counties XC at Cofton Park >>

To All Club contacts,

I have been asked by the CAU Inter Counties xc to assist them in finding some programme sellers for the event on Saturday 12th March 2016. We need Four programme sellers to achieve coverage of the site. There is a payment of £100 offered to the club who could provide the required number of people. This payment could be split if two clubs were to provide a couple each.

Also as Clerk of the course I’m still looking for more help to set up and marshal the course on the Saturday, a packed lunch, free tea/coffee and possibly a bottle of wine for those offering to marshal from 10am to 4pm or if you could also assist in the course setup from 7.30am before your marshal duties there is also a Breakfast bap on offer. No experience is needed if you have never helped at an event before, you will be instructed in the role and will be working with others who have experience of event marshalling.

Free parking is available for all those offering help.

Please ask around your clubs to see if we can fill the required places.

WRRL fixtures update ### updated 17/02/16 ### Print

A new 5K race has been added to the WRRL this year on Wednesday June 29th. The start/finish will be at Edmondscote athletics track (Leamington Spa). The race will be on a very accurately measured 5k course and timed with graded timekeeper(s). The course is flat and fast so a likely PB will be the real thing.

All fixtures are detailed here .

Please note, entries are already open for the Massey Easter 5 Mile and the Two Castles opens on 1st March. This one fills up quickly (on the morning I believe) so get in there as soon as possible if interested.
